Meet Our Staff
Chris Cable, a 2005 graduate of Simpson University, started Caliber Office Furniture in April 2010.
Chris made his debut into the office furniture scene in 1995 as an installer in Redding. While working as an installer with products such as Herman Miller, Knoll, Haworth, Kimball Office and many more, Chris was taking night classes to obtain his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.
Determined to excel in the office furniture industry, Chris was promoted to a sales position in 2005 at the local Herman Miller dealership. Fueled with the knowledge of contract furniture installs has helped Chris with communicating future projects to new customers and ultimately become a well-rounded sales man in the furniture industry.
In 2010, Chris was left with the decision to start his own company, Caliber Office Furniture. Using his recently obtained education and already existing client base made the decision easy. Today Chris is maintaining and has established a great reputation in his community. His ever growing list of high caliber projects and customers is the proof.
Chris has been married to his wife Cassie since 1995. They have two kids, Jakob and Julianne. Chris and Cassie are new owners to a small five acre hobby farm where they raise cattle, goats, pigs, and anything else they can fit into their free time. When Chris isn’t on his 1949 Ford Model 8N tractor on the weekends, you might find him geocaching around beautiful Shasta County, or kayaking one of our scenic lakes or rivers.
Dylan Humphrey joined our team in 2016. He brings with him the knowledge to facilitate a meticulous warehouse. Our clients can vouch for his exceptional customer service. Dylan’s skill set as a mechanic gives him the natural ability to conquer any office furniture install effectively and efficiently. Dylan has a natural ability to be an effective leader when it comes to tackling some of our larger projects. Our projects run smooth and accurate because of Dylan’s warehouse skills and knowledge.
In Dylan’s spare time, he enjoys working on cars, racing his motorcycle and spending time with his wife. Probably not in that order! Dylan’s generational roots run deep in Shasta County and he has lived here all his life and plans to settle down on a farm of his own soon.
Joshua Paul joined our team in 2018. His experience with tools and heavy equipment allowed him to quickly become a core part of our warehouse team. His analytic approach to problem solving brings a new perspective to our projects, allowing for further innovation and improved customer outcomes.
Joshua moved to Redding from Arkansas in 2015 to attend college and participate in recreational sports such as rugby and baseball. In his free time Joshua enjoys weightlifting, hiking, freehand rock climbing, and wakeboarding.
Joshua and his wife are expecting their first son in the spring of 2019. He looks forward to raising a family in our community.
Lisa Murphy joined our team in 2018. Her experience in office administration, management, and human resources helps to keep our office running in a smooth and efficient manner. Lisa obtained her SHRM-SCP (Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional) certification in 2017 and has pursued a diverse educational path spanning management, technology, HR, and finance.
Lisa’s resourceful and detail-oriented nature ensures that our customers receive accurate and timely service with efficient order tracking, scheduling, and invoicing. Our customers are always greeted with a smile, both in person and on the phone. Customers appreciate knowing that they can rely upon Lisa to follow through on all requests and inquiries in an effective and friendly manner.
In her leisure time Lisa enjoys reading, running, and gaming. Lisa was born and raised in Redding and looks forward to continuing to participate in Shasta County’s cultural and recreational growth.
